AI, robots, and automation are already replacing humans in the food services

73% of food preparation and service activites are able to be automated. And we are already seeing the beginning of this change.

  • Miso Robotics, a start-up company, has introduced “Flippy”, a robot that will assist with grilling, prepping and plating food, mostly burgers.
  • McDonalds just announced an “Experience of the Future” initiative that will replace cashiers at all locations in the U.S. by 2020.

See for yourself

  • Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell have already set up automated kiosks in Shanghai, China.

  • On the product end, you can now use a 3D printer to make a hot pizza in five minutes that can be customized to particular orders.

“It’s cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic arm than it is to hire an employee who’s inefficient [and] making $15 an hour bagging French Fries.”

-- former CEO of McDonald's

Be prepared
